I'm happy to announce that IHP is now affiliated with the Haskell Foundation 🚀. This is great step to become a bit more integrated into the larger haskell ecosystem.
What is the Haskell Foundation?
The Haskell Foundation was initiated in November 2020 by Simon Peyton Jones, one of the designers of the Haskell programming language. It's an an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to broadening the adoption of Haskell, by supporting its ecosystem of tools, libraries, education, and research.
What does affiliation mean for IHP?
In the general this means that we support the goals of the Haskell Foundation (broadening the adoption of Haskell) and work together to improve the haskell ecosystem.
Affiliation also entains a couple requirements which we mostly already met before: public issue trackers, responsive maintainers, open to contributions, encourage new contributors, adopt the foundation's code of conduct.
The Foundation is working on a lot of things that could help drive the adoption of haskell and also the adoption of IHP, e.g. better compiler error messages. So I'm really happy that IHP is now an affiliated project!
Happy hacking, Marc
